LITHIA - Former Tour de France competitor and sports commentator Bob Roll visited the FishHawk Ranch area June 4 to participate in a 35-mile trek down country roads with 50 other enthusiasts.

Roll, who signed bright yellow hats to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation for cancer awareness and copies of his book, Bobke II, said trek bicycling is his passion and while he doesn't do too many promotional events, he was happy to assist with this one.

David and Jodi Luppino opened their Just Ride Bicycles shop at the corner of FishHawk Ranch Boulevard and Boyette Road this week. The couple previously owned the Carrollwood Bicycle Emporium and two other bike shops in the region.

Roll will be at the shop again tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to sign autographs and chat with bicycle enthusiasts. The shop is located at 13431 Boyette Road.
