MIAMI - Heavy storms punched an eight-foot hole in the lobby ceiling of the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami, just months after it opened after a $500 million renovation.
The storms Friday also filled the hotel's night club with ankle-deep water.
The storms were accompanied by lightning and hail the size of pingpong balls. One guest described the aftermath of the ceiling collapse as "like a waterfall, coming in from the ceiling."
The hotel reopened in November 2008.
