Man kicks utilities truck for damaging his yard

SPRING HILL - A man punched and kicked a utilities truck Monday in retaliation for the truck damaging his yard.
The incident started when line workers with the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative requested permission to work on the border of Clarence Massat's property at 12170 Coronado Drive. Massat granted them access, but became "enraged" when the workers crossed onto his property to maneuver a piece of equipment, a report states.
A WREC crew member told a deputy that Massat kicked the truck's passenger door several times and punched the truck repeatedly.
When asked his side of the story, Massat showed no remorse and reportedly replied, "I damaged their truck as much as they damaged my yard."
Massat, 55, was given a misdemeanor citation for criminal mischief.
