Bradenton police looking for bank robber

MANATEE COUNTY - The Bradenton Police Department is investigating a robbery of the First America Bank that happened around 2:40 p.m. today.

The suspect tried but failed to rob the First America Bank, located at 2811 Manatee Ave. W, fled the scene shortly after. He was denied entry after employees became suspicous, police said.

Officers are continuing to investigate; the wanted man is described as white, wearing blue jean shorts, a grey baseball cap, tennis shoes and sunglasses.
