BARTOW - Testimony is set to resume this morning in the child pornography possession trial of former Scott Lake Elementary School principal John Stelmack.
Investigators say in December 2007 they found photos that had the faces of two former students superimposed on shots of at least one nude woman inside a briefcase in Stelmack's school office in Lakeland. The photos made it appear the girls were in lewd poses, authorities say.
Prosecutors expect to present those photos to the jury during testimony of their second witness of today. Court is slated to resume at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Mark Carpanini.
If convicted, Stelmack, 62, could face up to 25 years in state prison.
His attorney has suggested the images didn't amount to child pornography and that he may not be to blame for them.
