ST. PETERSBURG - The director of the Florida Holocaust Museum in downtown St. Petersburg says the museum will likely increase security in the wake of a shooting at Washington's Holocaust museum.
Carolyn Bass, the executive director of the Florida Holocaust Museum, made the comments after the Wednesday shooting at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Bass said the Florida museum rarely has issues with security — usually just dealing with vagrants — but was reviewing its security measures.
"We'll have some increased security over the next while for sure," Bass said. "We have plenty of security regularly."
To enter the museum, visitors have to have their bags checked and go through a metal detector.
