BROOKSVILLE - A Spring Hill man was killed Wednesday when the car he was a passenger in collided with a tractor-trailer, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The car's driver, Lester Robert Hardemon, 73, of Brooksville, didn't see the flatbed truck as he tried to turn left from County Road 491 to U.S. 98 about 3:30 p.m., troopers said.
The truck struck the passenger door of the 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, ejecting passenger Robert Edward Hardemon, 48, troopers said. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the accident report.
Robert Hardemon died at the scene. Lester Hardemon received minor injuries. The truck driver, 64-year-old Charles Eugene Goff of Seffner, was not injured, troopers said.
