Allegiant trims 19 fares

Allegiant Air has launched a sale on flights from St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport to 19 cities for as low as $49 one-way.

Flights must be booked by June 24 and taken by Jan. 31.

There are some exceptions for Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.

Additional fees apply, including a convenience fee and a charge for checked baggage.

The airline's $49 one-way fares are to Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tenn.; Roanoke, Va.; the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee and Virginia; Greensboro, N.C.; and Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.

There are $59 fares to Huntington, W.Va., and Toledo, Ohio.

There are $69 fares to Rockford, Ill.; Fort Wayne and South Bend, Ind.; Springfield, Mo.; and Lehigh Valley, Pa.

There are $79 fares to Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, Iowa; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Lexington, Ky.; Peoria, Ill.; and Plattsburgh, N.Y.
