Moffitt Cancer Center officials have given the all-clear signal after its front entrance was temporarily shut due to a bomb threat this morning.
A bomb threat was called into Moffitt at 8:45 a.m., according to media relations coordinator Patty Kim.
University of South Florida police, Tampa Police and Tampa Fire Rescue "searched the second floor of the hospital, found something resembling a lunch box, checked it out, and determined there was no threat, no bomb," said Kim. "There were no evacuations, no patients affected."
