Fair offers free shots, physicals

Tampa General Hospital is offering free school physicals and immunizations for children entering the Florida school system for the first time from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The examinations will be conducted at HealthPark, 5802 N. 30th St.
To qualify for the physicals and immunizations, children must be at least 5 by Aug. 31.
Safety and health information and a limited number of bicycle helmets will also be available at the health fair.
No appointments are necessary.
Children receiving immunizations must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians and bring up-to-date immunization records.
In case of bad weather, only the outside activities will be canceled. For information, call (813) 844-3247.
