Team Angler takes Tarpon Cup Championship

BOCA GRANDE PASS - Captain Nick Winger and his Tampa-based Team Angler Boats outlasted the competition to take first place in the Miller High Life Professional Tarpon Tournament Series in Boca Grande Pass, FL.

Team Angler captured the title despite last minute submissions from Team Howard Leasing and Team Hendrick Roofing, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, to capture the 2009 Tarpon Cup Championship.

"When I heard these fish were coming in, I almost threw up." said Rodney Taucher, of Team Angler.

The Miller High Life PTTS presented by Century Boats, which just completed its 6th season, is the largest and richest live-release tarpon tournament in the world.
