HUDSON - They say there's a thin line between love and hate, and Pasco County deputies are accusing a Hudson woman of crossing it.
Dominic Amalfitano and Kristine Crawford, both 32, did a few shots of rum before moving the party into the bedroom, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report. The couple was having sex when Crawford started punching his head and chest, a report states.
Amalfitano conceded to deputies that Crawford wasn't "all there" because of the alcohol when they started having sex.
Crawford told deputies she remembers doing a few shots and having sex but the next thing she recalls is him yelling at her and "the cops" were at the door.
As the blows kept coming, Crawford pleaded with her: "Stop hitting me. Stop," he told her, according to a report.
Her response, a report states: "It's not what it seems baby."
Amalfitano was able to get away and go outside to the front porch but she followed him, he told authorities. She started screaming and swinging again, a report states. He pushed her into a couch trying to get away but she kept after him so he pushed her into a chair on the porch, according to a report. That's when they noticed her 14-year-old son watching from the door and Crawford ran inside the house.
Amalfitano dialed 911. So did the teen, who locked Amalfitano out of the house.
When deputies arrived, they noticed that Crawford was "very intoxicated" and her nose was bloodied but she didn't know why. She told them she never hit her boyfriend and kept changing her story about what happened, a report states.
Crawford, of 12924 Jayton Ave., was arrested by deputies and booked into the Land O' Lakes Jail on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. She is being held without bail.
