Work closes Morgan Street

TAMPA - Morgan Street is closed between Brorein and Whiting streets while the city's water department works to fix a broken eight-inch water main.

Morgan's northbound traffic is being detoured to Florida Avenue, according to the water department. Morgan's southbound traffic is being detoured to Franklin Street. Bell Street and Cumberland Avenue are closed at Morgan.

The southbound traffic leaving the Selmon Crosstown Expressway at Exit 7 won't be able to head north on Morgan.

Repairs should be completed by Wednesday.
