Woman charged with selling heroin to man who overdosed

A New York woman has been charged with distributing heroin, eventually resulting in the death of a Lakeland man, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Donna Maria Moore, 48, made her first appearance in federal court today after being arrested Thursday.
Christopher Friar, 30, died of an overdose after being mailed packets of heroin from Moore, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Moore could face up to 20 years in a federal prison.
