Tropicana Field renovations for $471 million? That's one spicy meatball!
How about carbon-fiber reclining seats with feet and head rests sumptuously upholstered in fine Corinthian leather? Why not gold-plated restroom fixtures, handrails and hardware? Yum! More garlic, please!
I think this study needs a few Tums.
Most stadiums, even new ones, have and will continue to have some areas that need work, but there's a big difference between providing for essential needs and funding obscene extravagance. There's also the regional market and what it will support to consider.
The purpose of this report is so self-serving and transparent that it's embarrassing.
I suggest the consultants take a heaping spoonful of Milk of Magnesia, watch a few reruns of "The Biggest Loser" and try again.
