TAMPA - Jabil Circuit Inc. swung to a loss during its most recent fiscal quarter, while the company said it is seeing signs of a more stable economy.
The St. Petersburg-based electronics company operates factories around the world making devices for the military, medical, consumer, communications and auto companies.
Jabil said net revenue for the third fiscal quarter of fiscal 2009 was $2.6 billion compared to $3.1 billion for the same period of fiscal 2008. The company posted a net loss of $28.8 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2009, compared to net income of $38.4 million for the same period of fiscal 2008.
