TALLAHASSEE - Reserve linebacker Maurice Harris has been suspended at Florida State.
In a news release from the school Tuesday, Coach Bobby Bowden said the sophomore from Homestead was suspended indefinitely after his arrest by campus police on Monday.
The statement said school officials would not have any further comment on the matter and added that Harris would remain suspended until the legal matter has been resolved. Authorities did not immediately release details of the arrest.
Harris, 20, played in three games last year for the Seminoles, who open their 2009 season on Sept. 7 against archrival Miami.
Senior wide receiver Richard Goodman is also suspended for his role in a chair throwing incident on campus last fall.
