TAMPA - Jabil Circuit Inc. swung to a loss during its most recent fiscal quarter, while the company said it is seeing signs of a more stable economy.
The St. Petersburg-based electronics maker said net revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2009 was $2.6 billion, compared with $3.1 billion for the same period of fiscal 2008. The company posted a net loss of $28.8 million for the third quarter, compared with net income of $38.4 million for the same period a year ago.
"Although the global economy remains in a recession, we see genuine stabilization across most of our end-markets," President and CEO Timothy L. Main said in a statement.
