WESLEY CHAPEL - The company behind Outback Steakhouse and Carraba's restaurant won Pasco County's approval Thursday for three new buildings at a plaza that has been largely dormant for a year or more.
The plaza is at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Aronwood Drive at an entrance to the Meadow Pointe development.
Tampa-based OSI began work on the plaza more than a year ago, clearing land and laying curbs and parking lots. Since then, the property has lain largely dormant.
The original plans for the 12-acre project showed a Fresh Market grocery store and a Carraba's restaurant. Neither of those tenants are indicated on the revised plans approved by the county's Development Review Committee.
The revised plans show three buildings - one 4,200 square feet, one 13,000 square feet and a third at nearly 78,000 square feet.
