The Minnesota Timberwolves rounded out their NBA draft night by selecting Florida guard Nick Calathes in the second round.
Calathes is a versatile 6-foot-5 guard who has already signed a contract to play professionally in Greece. With three picks already on Thursday night, the Wolves likely will stash him overseas for a year or two before giving him a shot in the NBA.
The sophomore led the Gators in scoring this season, averaging 17.2 points. He also averaged 5.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists, and was the only player in the nation to average at least 15 points, five rebounds and six assists.
