Seffner teen dies in crash on I-75

A 16-year-old Seffner girl died early Saturday in a single-car crash on Interstate 75 near the junction with Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.
Britney Brianna Warkow died when the 2004 Ford Explorer she was riding in went out of control and overturned in the median of the interstate just after 3 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The vehicle was traveling south in the center lane of the highway when the driver, Arielle Nicole Warkow, 17, of Seffner, lost control. The car drifted across the highway and rollover in the median.
Britney Warkow, who was not wearing her seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle, the FHP said.
Arielle Warkow received minor injuries in the crash. She was treated at Brandon Regional Hospital, the FHP said.
The accident is still under investigation.
