2 dead after apparent drag race in Miami

MIAMI - Police believe an illegal drag race might be to blame for a crash that killed two men in Miami.

Florida Highway Patrol Spokesman Pat Santangelo said authorities found the bodies of two men inside a white Volkswagen Jetta on Saturday morning.

The car had been traveling at a high speed when it rear-ended a tow truck, and Santangelo said one witness has reported seeing the car race another vehicle.

Santangelo said the tow truck driver wasn't hurt.

The names of the two crash victims weren't immediately released.
