Woman Killed In Miami Police Chase

MIAMI - Authorities say a woman has died after the car she was driving collided with a police cruiser during a chase in Miami.

According to a news release, officers spotted a speeding car while conducting traffic stops on Interstate 95 early Saturday morning.

Police followed the car and tried to pull over the driver, but instead collided with the Nissan Altima that the woman was driving. The Nissan then crashed into a house.

Crews from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were called to the scene, but the driver of the Nissan died from her injuries. The woman's name wasn't immediately released. Authorities believe she was about 24
or 25 years old.

Officials are still investigating the crash.
