A 19-year-old Seminole man involved in a February wreck has died, the Florida Highway Patrol said this morning.
Justin Fenton died Feb. 26, six days after the wreck on 109th Avenue North and County Road 296, Sgt. Steve Gaskins said in a prepared statement.
Fenton was at the wheel of a Dodge pickup truck that was struck by a 1999 Ford Mustang whose driver had lost control of the car, the highway patrol said.
Neither the Mustang's driver, identified by the patrol as Joshua Adams, 19, of New Port Richey, nor 19-year-od passenger was injured, the patrol said.
A passenger in the pickup truck suffered minor injuries, the patrol said.
Fenton was driving west on County Road 296 when the Mustang came up behind him, the patrol said. Adams, who moments earlier had bolted out of an intersection, accelerated and then lost control of the Mustang before the Mustang collided with the truck, the patrol said.
The crash remains under investigation.
