A Tampa man has been arrested on 35 counts of possession of child pornography.
Deputies arrested Randall Scott Bruce today based on a warrant from Tampa police.
Bruce was arrested 10:15 a.m. at his home, 14620 Grenadine Drive. His bail was set at $358,000.
Bruce, 44, remained in Orient Road Jail today.
In August, Bruce was charged with 74 counts of possession of child pornography. He had 15 videos and 59 pornographic images of prepubescent children on his personal computer, police say.
Officers seized the computer after receiving a tip in August that Bruce had pornographic images on it, according to the Tampa Police Department. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement analyzed the computer and found the images. Police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said the images were downloaded from the Internet.
That case is ongoing. Attorney Lucas Fleming said he and Bruce were working with the state attorney's office and knew it was possible more charges would be filed.
But Fleming said he was surprised his client was arrested today.
"He was doing really well out on bond," Fleming said. "He was abiding by all the laws, participating in the discovery process. …. I believe he was able to finalize his divorce while he was out."
