TAMPA - A 45-year-old man approached a person in a convenience store parking lot Monday night, displayed a knife and demanded money, Tampa police say.
Officers arrested Kim L. Humphrey at 10:47 p.m. Monday.
Humphrey was charged with robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
He was released from prison Feb. 15, having served about four years for armed robbery.
After Humphrey showed the man a knife concealed in his sock at 8245 N. Nebraska Ave., the victim fled into the store, and Humphrey left the scene, a police report states. Officers later found Humphrey in the 8300 block of Ninth Street. The victim identified Humphrey as the person trying to rob him, and Humphrey was in possession of a sheath with two small knives, officers say.
Humphrey, who is homeless, remained in Orient Road Jail today. Her bail was set at $15,500.
