Allegiant Adds Mississippi Flight
Allegiant Air will begin round-trip service on April 1 between St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport and Gulfport/Biloxi International Airport in Mississippi. The airline's flights, which will use 150-seat MD-83 aircraft, will be included in travel packages with the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.

Introductory packages, including airfare, accommodations and ground transportation in Biloxi, begin at $199 per person, double occupancy, plus taxes and fees.

Tech Data's Profit Rises 17%
Tech Data Corp. said Tuesday its fourth-quarter profit jumped 17 percent, topping Wall Street forecasts despite falling sales. The Clearwater-based technology distributor said it earned $58.6 million, or $1.17 per share, in the three months ended Jan. 31, up from $50.2 million, or 92 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.

Analysts were expecting earnings of 73 cents per share, according to a Thomson Reuters poll. Tech Data employs about 1,500 in Clearwater, and 8,000 total.

Sales fell below analysts' expectations, however, dropping 12 percent to $5.71 billion from $6.48 billion. Analysts projected sales of $5.96 billion.

Citigroup Offers Payment Plan

Citigroup Inc. said Tuesday that it will lower mortgage payments for some homeowners to an average of $500 a month for three months as part of a new program to help the unemployed.

Unemployed homeowners who may qualify for assistance from Citigroup under the Homeowner Unemployment Assist program include those who are 60 days or more past due on their mortgages or in foreclosure and can pay the reduced amount. Customers must also have a first mortgage loan that is owned and serviced by CitiMortgage Inc. and conforms to government-sponsored enterprise limits. The house must also be the customer's primary residence.
