Tampa Man Arrested In New York In Mass. Killing

HAVERHILL, Mass. - New York police have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting a Massachusetts man in his apartment.
A prosecutor says 21-year-old Jose Collazo of Tampa called 911 this morning to tell police his location in Queens. He was arrested on a warrant charging him with the murder of 27-year-old Jose Fuentes.
Authorities said Fuentes was found Feb. 21 in a basement apartment in Haverhill, lying on a bed with multiple gunshot wounds. He'd been staying with a 20-year-old woman and her two children. They were physically unharmed.
Collazo is expected to be arraigned Thursday on a fugitive from justice charge. It was not immediately clear if he had legal representation.
A Florida man who allegedly helped Collazo was arrested Tuesday in Queens.
