OAKLAND PARK - Authorities say a homeless man didn't step off the railroad tracks when a train came through in Broward County.
Sheriff's spokesman Jim Leljedal says the fatality appears to be a suicide. He says the unidentified man didn't move when the train was passing through, even after the train's engineer sounded the horn.
The accident happened Thursday morning at the CSX tracks near Interstate 95.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no roadways blocked.
