Pinellas County sheriff's deputies have seized 289 marijuana plants from a three-bedroom house in Largo.
Homeowner Robert Neal Davis, 53, was arrested this afternoon as he was leaving the house at 9770 130th Ave. N., Largo, about 3 p.m. He was charged with cultivation of marijuana, the sheriff's office said.
Davis lives at 1238 Tuscany Drive in the Trinity area but also owns the house in Largo that was being used to grow the plants, detectives say.
Davis works for a roofing business, Residential Roofing and Repair, and parks company trucks at the Tuscany Drive home, detectives say. The 289 pot plants are of varying sizes, but most are small young plants.
An anonymous tip led detectives to the grow house. The investigation has been going on for less than a month.
