D MATT LASHOFF: A 6-foot-2, 200-pound former first-round draft pick in 2005 with offensive potential, he currently is sidelined up to 10 days with a cut to the back of his leg. Lashoff will remain in AHL Norfolk until healthy.
RW MARTINS KARSUMS: A 5-foot-10 scorer at the AHL level, the Lightning scouts project him as a top-nine forward capable of becoming a top six. A former second-round pick in 2004, made his NHL debut in December.
D NOAH WELCH: Originally a second-round pick of Pittsburgh, Welch was dealt to the Panthers as part of the trade that sent Gary Roberts to the Penguins. The 26-year-old has had a difficult time staying healthy and in the lineup, and has only 56 games of NHL experience on his resume.
RW MARK RECCHI: The veteran exceeded expectations this season with 45 points in Tampa but his experience will be a valuable asset to a Boston team chasing a Cup.
D STEVE EMINGER: Acquired from Philadelphia in November for Matt Carle, he was forced into No. 1 role and handled it well despite the increased role. But he probably played himself out of staying because of his salary compared to where he realistically should be playing.
D ANDY ROGERS: The former 2004 first-round pick never escaped the injury bug and never established himself within the organization. Along with G Olie Kolzig and D Jamie Heward - both out with injuries - the move allows the Lightning to save salary for the rest of the year.
