TAMPA - Pilots flew and boats searched for yet another day, but no signs emerged of three men who have been missing since their boat capsized in the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday.
Nick Schuyler, the only one of the four boaters rescued, remained in good condition at Tampa General Hospital on Thursday. Schuyler is recovering from hypothermia after spending about 40 hours clinging to the overturned fishing boat.
His three companions - former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, and Will Bleakley, a former USF football player and longtime friend of Schuyler - are still missing. The Coast Guard officially called off its search at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, but some friends and family members have been calling on pilots and boaters to continue the search.
