I read about all the financial problems newspapers are having, and the Trib changed its format to economize, which I wasn't happy about. But I just can't imagine breakfast without my morning edition.
So I did a little study on the cost of my subscription. I clip coupons religiously from the Sunday edition and to my surprise here are the results: In a four-month period, November through February, I "saved" $29.40 by redeeming coupons, which gives me an average of $7.35 per month. For six months that would come to $44.10. My subscription costs $38.25, so I "save" $5.85. Therefore, my subscription doesn't cost me anything, and I have a surplus to boot.
Not bad in these times. Just thought you might like to know.
