SURVIVAL COOKING CLASSES: The Cancer Project will offer Cancer Prevention and Survival Cooking Classes from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays for eight weeks, beginning Thursday at Anna Maria Island Community Center, 407 Magnolia St., Anna Maria. SPRING HEALTH SCREENINGS: South Florida Baptist Hospital, 301 N. Alexander St., Plant City, will offer free and low-cost health screenings as follows: Thursday: blood profiles, $20; free bone density screenings for women age 40 and older. Friday: free skin cancer screenings for ages 20 and older. March 14: prostate screenings for men at risk age 45 and older, and men age 50 and older, $20; vascular leg screenings for age 50 and older, $20; carotid Doppler ultrasound for men age 30-75 and women age 40-70, $20; CT heart score for ages 50 and older, $150; mammogram screenings (a doctor's note required for this), $45. MEMORY MOBILE: The Alzheimer's Association Florida Gulf Coast Chapter's Memory Mobile will be at Arden Courts Alzheimer's Assisted Living, 14950 Casey Road, Tampa, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. SQUIGGY CLASSIC: The fifth annual Squiggy Classic Fitness Festival will be held Friday through March 15 at Wilderness Park, 14302 Morris Bridge Road, Thonotosassa. TOUR DE VILLAGE RUN: The sixth annual Run Over the Greens at Tour de Village at Carrollwood Village Millennium Garden, West Village Drive, Tampa, will be held on March 14. The 5K run starts at 8:30 a.m. with 7 a.m. sign-in. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-12, The 1-mile fun walk begins at 9:30 a.m. with sign-in at 8 a.m. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12. RIBS FOR KIDS: The third annual St. Patrick's Day Ribs for Kids Barbecue to benefit Epilepsy Services Foundations will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 14 at Costco in Brandon. Cost is $20 for a slab of ribs.
