GREENSBORO, N.C. - Tanae Davis-Cain and Mara Freshour scored 20 points each to lead No. 12 Florida State past Boston College 83-71 on Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.
Jacinta Monroe, Courtney Ward and Cierra Bravard added 10 points each for the second-seeded Seminoles (25-6), who advance to the ACC Tournament semifinals for just the second time in school history, and the first since 2001.
Florida State will face No. 8 Duke, the tournament's third seed, today.
Carolyn Swords scored 17 points, Mickel Picco 13 and Stefanie Murphy 11 for the seventh-seeded Eagles (20-11), who have not made it past the quarterfinals in the ACC Tournament since joining the league four years ago.
Florida State, which shot better than 53 percent from the field - including 6-for-8 on 3-pointers - in racing to a 17-point halftime lead.
Tennessee Too Much For Florida
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Angie Bjorklund scored 25 points, and No. 19 Tennessee beat No. 21 Florida 71-67 to advance to the semifinals of the SEC Tournament.
Bjorklund went scoreless the previous night in Tennessee's first-round win over Alabama, but she made an impact immediately against Florida, scoring 13 points in the first half to help the Lady Vols (22-9) take a 38-21 lead into intermission.
Florida (23-7) pulled within three late, but Tennessee's Kelley Cain caught an airball by teammate Shekinna Stricklen and was fouled hard by Marshae Dotson with 3:26 remaining. After a near-altercation under the basket, Cain made both free throws to start a 7-0 run that put the game away.

Kristi Toliver scored 10 of her 15 points in the second half, and Maryland (26-4) rallied from 12 points down to beat Wake Forest (19-11) in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - DeWanna Bonner became Auburn's career scoring leader, and the Tigers (28-2) held on for victory over Mississippi (17-14) in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.

Abby Waner scored 16 points to help Duke (25-4) beat Virginia (23-9) in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.
Joy Cheek added 10 of her 12 points after halftime for the third-seeded Blue Devils, who won their tournament opener for the 15th straight year. Duke has reached at least the semifinals every year since 1995.

Jessica Breland had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and North Carolina (26-5) shook off a sluggish start to rout Clemson (14-17) in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.
Rashanda McCants added 19 points and Italee Lucas had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the fourth-seeded Tar Heels.

INDIANAPOLIS - Jantel Lavender had 22 points and 11 rebounds, Brittany Johnson finished with 16 points and Ohio State (25-5) beat Illinois (10-21) in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Christina Wirth scored 23 points and Vanderbilt (22-8) committed just three turnovers in a victory over Georgia (18-13) in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.
