Sophomore Josh Grady, who has served as Freedom High's starting quarterback the last two years, has transferred to Armwood, Hawks coach Sean Callahan confirmed Monday.
Grady threw for 1,815 yards in 2008, the sixth-most in Hillsborough County last season. He also threw nine touchdowns and nine interceptions for the Patriots, who finished 4-6.
As a freshman, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Grady threw for 632 yards and eight touchdowns after taking over the starting role midway through the 2007 season.
