HOLIDAY - Pasco County Sheriff's Office detectives have identified the victim in Saturday's fatal fireworks store fire as the store's owner.
Angelo Carbone, 39, 10927 Inglewood Ave., New Port Richey, was the owner of Liberty Fireworks at 3508 U.S. 19 in Holiday.
Carbone's body was found after a fire was reported at 5:53 p.m. Saturday, according to sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll. After the fire was under control, firefighters found the body.
The blaze destroyed most, if not all, of the store's fireworks, Doll said. The cause of the fire appears to be an electrical short in the wall of the store, which ignited the fireworks, a sheriff's office release stated.
Foul play is not suspected in Carbone's death or the fire. The cause of death is pending toxicology results from the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office.
