Bank Robber With Fake Dreadlocks Flees In White Dodge Charger

A man wearing dreadlocks robbed a Clearwater bank today, Clearwater police say.
The suspect walked into the Bank Atlantic, 2498 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd., at roughly 10:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note indicating he wanted cash, said Elizabeth Watts, Clearwater's public safety spokeswoman.
With an undisclosed amount, he ran from the bank and hopped into a white Dodge Charger, she said.
He was described as a black man about 6-feet-2-inches tall, Watts said. He had short hair but was wearing a wig of long dreadlocks that covered his face, she said. He was wearing a black leather jacket and dark pants.
