Ocala Man Gets 42-Month Sentence After Online Child Sex Sting

An Ocala man was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to soliciting over the Internet a parent whose children he wanted to have sex with.
Ricky R. Savage, 57, was actually communicating with an undercover Pinellas sheriff's detective posing as the parent, sheriff's officials have said.
Savage, who was arrested in 2007, had pleaded guilty in October to charges of seduction of a child over the Internet and traveling to meet a minor. He had traveled to a location in north Pinellas County, where he thought he was going to meet the parent and the parent's two children.
His 42-month prison sentence will be followed by 18 months of probation, computerized court records show.
