HOLIDAY - Pasco County Sheriff's Office detectives have identified the victim in Saturday's fatal fireworks store fire as the store's owner.
Angelo Carbone, 39, of 10927 Inglewood Ave., New Port Richey, owned Liberty Fireworks at 3508 U.S. 19 in Holiday.
Carbone's body was found after a fire was reported at 5:53 p.m. Saturday, said sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll. After the fire was under control, firefighters found the body.
The blaze destroyed most if not all of the store's fireworks, Doll said.
The cause of the fire appears to have been an electrical short in the wall of the store, a sheriff's office release states.
Foul play is not suspected in Carbone's death or the fire. The cause of death has not been given, pending the receipt of toxicology results from the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office.
