TAMPA - Amtrak's northbound Silver Star will not serve Tampa and Lakeland on Mondays through Thursdays from Monday through April 9 because of track repair. Passengers will be bused to Orlando to make connections with the train to New York.
Bus departure times from Tampa's Union Station and Lakeland's Amtrak station will be similar to the departure times of the Silver Star, 5:17 p.m. from Tampa and 5:53 p.m. from Lakeland. Passengers should contact Amtrak at 1-800-872-7245 for bus departure times.
Southbound Silver Star service through Tampa and Lakeland will not be affected by the track repair.
