8 Inmates Injured in Coleman Prison Melee

Several inmates were injured in at a federal prison outside Ocala this afternoon when a fight broke out in the recreation yard, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Eight inmates from the Federal Correctional Complex in Coleman were taken outside the facility for medical treatment, said spokesman Charles Ratledge in a written statement.
No one on staff was injured. The facility was placed on lockdown and the incident is still under investigation.
