ORLANDO - The family of fallen University of Central Florida freshman wide receiver Erek Plancher has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the school.
Planchers' parents, Enock and Giselle Plancher, are seeking damages in excess of $15,000, not including interest, costs and attorney's fees.
Plancher, a 19-year-old from Naples, died a year ago after an offseason conditioning workout on the UCF campus. The workout was supervised by Coach George O'Leary and his staff.
The university has repeatedly defended its response to Plancher's collapse and death.
