A 31-year-old woman is accused of using a notary's stamp and forged signature to try and authenticate her own wedding certificate.
Lisa A. Warner, of 6018 Antrim St., New Port Richey, was arrested Thursday and charged with forgery, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report said.
In December, Warner was working at Quality Health Plans on U.S. 19 in Holiday when the incident occurred, the report said. She had approached her co-worker, a notary, about conducting a wedding ceremony, but the co-worker declined for "many reasons," the report said.
The co-worker told investigators that Warner could have grabbedher stamp on one of two days when she was not at work and the business was moving. The stamp had been left in a basket on her desk.
The co-worker eventually found a copy of the forged certificate, notified management and Warner was fired, the report said.
There was no record of Warner at the Land O' Lakes Jail this afternoon.
