In the early morning hours of Friday the 13th, Joel Phillip Husebo, dressed himself entirely in black, slipped on a pair of rubber gloves and entered a mobile home, where he stabbed the resident seven times, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The victim was stabbed in the chest and abdomen, according to an arrest report.
Witnesses, according to the report, heard the victim screaming and ran to render help. Husebo was seen running out of the mobile home and tried to flee, but was subdued by trailer park residents until deputies could arrive. He was still wearing the rubber gloves, which had the victim's blood.
After being arrested, Husebo, 26, told deputies that he knew the victim and had borrowed money from him in the past. He also told deputies he drove to the trailer park just before the incident, according to the report.
Husebo was charged with attempted first degree murder and armed burglary with battery.
Listed as a cook at Beef O'Brady's, he is being held at the Orient Road Jail on $200,000 bond.
