A guitar-swinging melee sent three people to the hospital and one of them to jail, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
The fracas started yesterday afternoon at 303 Avery Avenue, Apartment A, in Palm Harbor.
According to a media release:
Chris Frost, 23, used an electric guitar to repeatedly strike his roommate, Cody Starks, 26, in the face while Starks was sleeping.
Sara Jandreau, 21, of 3966 Orchard Hill Circle, attempted to intervene, but was also struck with the guitar. After striking Stars and Jandreau, Frost put his fist through a window of the home and was also injured.
Deputies responded to Helen Ellis Hospital at 5:04 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2009, after the hospital staff reported the arrival of two injured males to the emergency. Jandreau and a friend had transported Frost and Starks to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
All three were treated for non-life threatening injuries at Helen Ellis Hospital.
Deputies have arrested Frost for attempted murder and aggravated battery. He will be transported to the Pinellas County Jail, once he is medically cleared.
The investigation continues.
