PRODUCT REVIEW: Infinity Finishing Spray; available at online retailers and http://whitesandsproducts.com/infinityfinishspray;... $21 for 10 oz.
This is not your mother's Aquanet.
Infinity Finishing Spray holds without the lacquer effect, leaving hair shiny and full of movement. And it keeps flyaway-prone hair under control even after brushing hours later.
I don't use flat irons much because I fear the damage to my color-treated tresses, but the one time I tried it, Infinity seemed to provide a shield. My straight locks were smooth, shiny and bouncy.
I like a little lift in the roots, so I sprayed Infinity on my hands and worked it through the roots along the part. I got lift without the teased look. Then I sprayed my hair with a few blasts. No helmet hair here.
Like most sprays, Infinity has a slight scent, but it's not overpowering or long-lasting.
It was a bit sticky on my hands when I applied it to the roots, but the residue rinsed right off. And the sprayer clogged up a couple of times, but a little hot water remedied that, too.
Infinity costs a bit more than $3 Aquanet - though it's comparable in price to other salon-quality sprays - but it lasts because you don't have to use much to get the desired hold.
