SEMINOLE - A Ford Bronco turned onto 113th Street in Seminole and drove into the path of a motorcyclist Monday night, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
The motorcyclist, 51-year-old Ernest Dale Best III, of 10862 109th Lane N., Largo, was killed.
The crash happened south of 86th Avenue just before 9 p.m. Best tried to stop but could not avoid the back of the Bronco, deputies said. Best, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle and killed.
Deputies say speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash. No charges have been filed against the driver of the Bronco, 45-year-old Richard Lee Brown, of 11671 84th Lane N., Seminole.
Deputies say they're continuing to investigate.
