Imus Announces He Has Prostate Cancer

Don Imus has prostate cancer - and confidence in a full recovery.

The 68-year-old radio personality made the announcement Monday on his morning show from New York, which airs on ABC Radio Networks and cable's RFD-TV. He said he wrestled with the idea of making it public but figured he should because he might have to miss some work because of treatment.

Imus, who has a charity to help children with cancer, said he has early-stage cancer, which means it hasn't spread outside the prostate.

Obama To Visit 'Tonight Show'

The White House says President Barack Obama will appear this week on Jay Leno's talk show, perhaps adding a lighter touch to his bid to resuscitate the moribund economy.

Obama will visit "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" during his trip to Los Angeles on Thursday. NBC will tape the program and air it that night, after the president has returned to Washington.

Smith's Psychiatrist Surrenders

Psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich surrendered Monday to face charges of excessively prescribing drugs to Anna Nicole Smith before the former model's overdose death at 39.
Police spokeswoman Rosario Herrera says Eroshevich turned herself in about 11 a.m. Monday. She was released several hours later after posting $20,000 bail, according to her attorney's office.

Eroshevich is charged with conspiring with another doctor and Smith's attorney-turned-boyfriend Howard K. Stern.

Attorney General Jerry Brown alleges the doctors falsified prescriptions and prescribed unwarranted amounts of highly addictive medications to Smith. Eroshevich's attorney says she was only protecting Smith's privacy.
Arrest Warrant For Lohan Quashed

Lindsay Lohan's next appearance won't be in jail garb.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge on Monday quashed an arrest warrant that was issued Friday for the 22-year-old actress.

Judge Marsha N. Revel determined that Lohan has been complying with the terms of her probation but needs to show her treatment program better documentation to avoid future court problems.
