Steve-O Latest Injured Celebrity On 'Dancing'

LOS ANGELES - A dancing stunt knocked down Steve-O. The reality star was forced to skip Monday's "Dancing With the Stars" after falling on his back during a dress rehearsal earlier in the day.

He landed flat on his back after a failed front flip, smashing his spine into the microphone pack all performers wear. The 34-year-old was already nursing a pinched nerve in his back.

The funnyman didn't break any bones, said dance partner Lacey Schwimmer, but he hasn't yet been cleared to dance on future episodes.

Per show rules, the pair was judged based on a video of their rehearsal dance.

Steve-O's injury is the third to sideline a celebrity after only two weeks. "Access Hollywood" co-anchor Nancy O'Dell suffered a torn meniscus, and singer Jewel fractured both tibias before the season premiere. A fourth, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, danced Monday with a fracture in his foot, and actor Gilles Marini danced with an injured shoulder.

Marini and partner Cheryl Burke earned the judges' top score of 27 out of 30 on Monday. Added to the last week's score, they lead with 51 out of 60.

After viewer voting is announced tonight, the bottom two couples will do a dance-off to determine who will be eliminated from the competition.
